CLASSIC NEW ENGLAND COLONIAL UPDATE

This traditional Colonial home is the gorgeous backdrop to the artist homeowner’s abstract art.  The challenge was to incorporate the large scale pieces, while adding adjacent color and texture.

The living room’s classic lines and gallery style walls allowed the artist homeowner’s color block paintings to stand out with an original Ludwig Mies van der Rohe Barcelona couch. 

The dining room design began with the exquisite, existing custom rug.  Referencing the rug's colors and movement, we reupholstered the existing side chairs and added in the wavy, and positively, glimmering wallpaper.   The mirror further advances the glowing, ethereal feel with a delicate ruffled edge.
